If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

Are you familiar with network marketing? If so you realize there are a multitude of businesses on the internet, and everybody is trying to recruit you into their opportunity.

What if you just don’t want to join or recruit or sell? What if you just want to do something for you and your family and friends and not make them feel like you are trying to rope them into something?

Well there is such a company that is product driven, they want to sell you on their products and want their products to sell you on their company. Their goal is for you to live a longer and healthier life. To look better as you age and feel better than you ever did. You will become a walking advertisement for them. People will notice the difference in you and start asking you what you are doing.

The company’s name is Genewize; it is often misspelled as Genewise.  The parent company is Genelink Inc. which was established in 1994 and is now a publicly traded company on the stock exchange. Which itself gives it more credibility than most network marketing companies

Genewize is a solid company of research scientists on the cutting edge of nutrition and skin care.

They will custom make a nutritional supplement and skin care serum just for you based on you DNA.

Genewize (Genewise) will send you a DNA test kit that you use at home and mail back to them.  If you ever wondered what predispositions to illness you parents may have passed on to you in their genes this is a perfect time to find out.

By analyzing your DNA the Genewize scientists are able to Access your deficiencies and design a vitamin supplement that targets exactly what your body needs.

While multi vitamins of the past use the one size fits all formula, the scientists at Genewize access they don’t guess what your body needs.

If you are a network marketer as I am and think Genewize is a company worth looking into, or you are interested in using their products. Do some research, go to their website (Genewize.com) it has pages of information and videos check out all the sports athletes that are using genewize products.

Genewize nutritional products have only been available since August 2008, and just this year October 2009 they introduced their skin care serum.

Nutrition and skin care is a 15 billion dollar industry; and predictions are it will be a 25 billion dollar industry by 2012. Bestselling author, economist and futurist Paul Zane Pilzer feels so strongly about this industry he wrote a book called The Next Trillion.

Genewize makes it very clear that it will never make claims that its product is intended to or will treat or cure any disease or medical condition. The statements have not been evaluated by the US Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.

Next: For the first time science is making it possible to personalize and tailor health & skin care products just for you. No more guessing, know exactly what your body needs see all the sports athletes that are using the Genewize products. To read more about health and wellness visit my blog.

Not fueling up with the right foods can affect how your body performs and your overall health.

Healthy eating is important for students. In this article we are going to discus how to avoid become a fast food fatty. Late night pizza, burger, fries and soda may taste good at times, but they are not healthy choices.

If staying awake in class is a challenge it may be your eating habits.

The food choices you make can affect whether or not you stay awake during a class, and you’re overall health.

The problem is not only about eating junk food, it’s more about not getting the proteins, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals your body needs.

Before a class or any physical activity always eat a light snack, a piece of fruit is a good choice.

If you hear a rumbling noise in your stomach, that’s your body trying to tell you something. Don’t ask your body to perform when there is no fuel in the tank.

Relying on energy bars and so called power drinks are fine once in awhile, but they don’t deliver all the antioxidants your body needs.

When it comes to defending against illness, vitamin and minerals are very important and it is best for students to get their nutrition from food. Fruits and vegetables are best as they a loaded with vitamins, minerals, fluid and fiber.

Skipping breakfast is never a good idea, it may take some discipline but getting up a little early to give yourself time to eat healthy in the cafeteria will provide your body the fuel it needs to perform all day.

Eating on campus, skip the soda and go to the juice bar, or low fat milk. Check out the different entrees and make certain to include a fresh salad and some vegetables. In the morning there are always healthy cereals and plenty of fresh fruit. Take a piece of fresh fruit for a snack later so you are not tempted to buy a candy bar when that in between meal hunger hits.

Remember that eating healthy isn’t only about avoiding greasy foods. Eating healthy involves getting a balanced diet and getting the right nutrients and vitamins to keep your body strong and healthy

Changing how you eat is always a great step towards becoming a health eater. The healthier you eat the better you will feel, the better you feel the better you will perform.

Eating healthy can get expensive. With the price of food these days it pays to plan your meals and make a food shopping list. Don’t put any junk food on your list. Eating healthy doesn’t have to be expensive. In this article you will be introduced to a few simple ways to save money while eating healthy.

Shop Alone:

Going shopping alone will accomplish two things. First you will get some alone time. Second children and spouses are usually the ones requesting junk food. So whenever possible go foods shopping alone and only buy the food you need from your list.

Milk instead of soda

Adults and children need milk and milk products on a daily basis.  Low fat milk, low fat chocolate milk and low fat strawberry milk are high in calcium for healthy bones and healthy teeth. Milk is also a good source of protein. The sugar in the syrup to flavor the milk is nothing compared to sugar in soda. Switch the whole family to milk, not only is it cheaper than soda. You be eating healthy, because milk is good for you.

Snack on Fruit

Fruit can be expensive until you compare it to potato chips and pretzels, and cup cakes ECT. You can get plenty of delicious healthy fruit for far less money than those fat laden sugary cakes and candy.

Buy fruit when it is in season and save even more money. A quick little tip my mother taught me. No one ever takes the bruised piece of fruit from the fruit bowl or the refrigerator at home, so before it gets spoiled, cut the bruised spot away and dice up the good part and freeze it for a healthy frozen snack or add it to you whole grain cereal in the morning.

Meat, Poultry, fish and Beans are the best sources of protein. Beans are a good substitute for meat on occasion. The USDA recommends eating beans at least four times a week. You can add beans and vegetables to your favorite soup for a healthy inexpensive meal.

Salads

Get the family in the habit of having a salad with their meal. A salad with green leafy lettuce and vegetables with a low fat, low calorie dressing is a healthy way to start a meal. If you start making your own dressing with olive oil and different flavored  vinegars you will not only be eating healthy but you will start to look forward to your salad before you meal.

Desert or snack

After the evening meal instead of having desert wait a little while. When you are looking for that evening snack you can have your dinner desert.  Something that has high water content is easy on the digestive system and won’t weigh you down. Watermelon, or sugar free gelatin with a little whip cream are good healthy evening snacks.

Next, you can be eating healthy and still can’t change your family health history. Now you can discover your predispositions for aging including cardiovascular, joint, lung and breast tissue health, immune health, brain and eye health, how well you detoxify pollutants as well as to discover what makes your skin age from oxidative damage, environmental stresses, irritation, collagen breakdown and photo-aging. A simple free test you take in your own home can get you started. For more information go to

Eating healthy is good for the entire family and eating healthy will benefit everyone.

The vegetarian way of eating can be a very healthy style
of eating.  The rules still apply with healthy eating,
although you should add variety, balance, and moderation.
A vegetarian is someone who avoids all types of meat,
whether it be hamburgers, hotdogs, chicken, or even fish.
Vegetarians are also sometimes classified by the type of
food they are or aren’t willing to eat.  For example,
Lacto-ovo vegetarians will avoid animal flesh yet they
will eat eggs and most dairy products.  A Vegan on the
other hand, will avoid all food that has any trace of
animal origin.
Because they don’t eat meet, vegetarians will often
wonder how they’ll get enough protein.  Although you may
not realize it, the average American actually consumes
more protein than he actually needs.  For the lacto-ovo
vegetarian, dairy products are an excellent source of
protein.  Vegans on the other hand, get their protein
from nuts, seeds, and soy products.
Along the lines of beans, there are several to choose
from, including green or red lentils, peanuts, split
peas, pinto, soy, kidney, and many more.  Some of them
you are already familiar, such as kidney beans in
chili, refried beans in Mexican dishes, red beans and
rice, and pinto beans.  Although some beans taste good
as they are, others are available with different flavors
to help enhance their taste.  Nuts are hihg in protein,
although they deliver a lot more fat than beans, which
means you should enjoy them in moderation.  By having
one cup of cooked beans, you’ll get the same amount of
protein as eating two ounces of meat!
The nutrients of concern for vegans, who avoid all types
of animal food, are vitamin B12, calcium, and vitamin D.
In the average North American diet, the primary source
for B12 is animals.  To have an adequate intake of B12,
vegans should reguarly consume vitamin B12 supplements or
foods, which contain vitamin B12, such as soy products
or milk.
For calcium, vegans can rely on orange juice or soy
milk, as they are fortified with calcium.  Beans and
leafy green vegetables will also contain some calcium as
well.
Although all types of vegetarians rely on simple food
groups, controlling your vitamins and calcium intake is
something you should always do.  This is very important
for eating healthy, as well as staying healthy.  If you
control what you eat, you’ll have many years of healthy
eating ahead of you.

If you are a vegetarian or considering this healthy eating alternative go to my website and learn all about the next generation in vitamin supplements.

Whether your traveling on the go or around the
home, you don’t need to give up healthy eating
simply because you are on the run.  The fact is,
healthy eating is even more important when your
trying to keep up with a busy schedule.

Having a good diet will help your body to handle
stress better.  As you hustle about, a healthy meal
is probably the last thing you think about.  The
following tips can help you eat when your on the go.

Restaurants
With tempting menus, large portions, and a festive
atmosphere, it’s easy to skip healthy eating.  It’s
okay to splurge every now and then, although you’ll
pack on a lot of weight if you make it a habit.
When you eat out at restaurants, always be smart
about it.

Airports
An airport can be a very stressful place, although
you shouldn’t scrap your diet because of it.  Eat
because you are hungry, not because of stress,
boredom, or to kill time.

In your car
Keep some healthy snacks in your car at all times,
so that when you get hungry – you have them.

At home
Evenings and mornings are busy times in most homes.
Making the time to eat can be hard, although you
shouldn’t run out the door without eating breakfast
first.  Cereal with milk, a banana, muffin, or even
a bagel is a great way to start the day.

Anytime you are on the go, always make sure that you
make the right food decisions.  You can take healthy
food with you if you need to, so that you have it
when you need it.  Eating healthy on the go is easy
to do, once you know how.  Never sacrifice healthy
food for junk, as your body will regret it later.

As you may know, not fueling up with the right
nutrients can affect how well your body performs
and your overall fitness benefits. Even though
healthy eating is important, there are myths that
hinder your performance if you listen to them.
Below, you’ll find some myth busters on healthy
eating.
1. Working out on an empty stomach.
If you hear a rumbling noise in your stomach, the
rumbling is trying to tell you something. Without
listening to them, you are forcing your body to
run without any fuel. Before you exercise or do
any physical activity, always eat a light snack
such as an apple.
2. Relying on energy bars and drinks.
Although they are fine every once in a while, they
don’t deliver the antioxidants you need to prevent
cancer. Fruits and vegetables are your best bets,
as they are loaded in vitamins, minerals, fluid,
and fiber.
3. Skipping breakfast.
Skipping breakfast is never a good idea, as
breakfast starts the day. Your body needs fuel
as soon as possible, and without it, you’ll be
hungry throughout the day.
4. Low carb diets.
Your body needs carbohydrates for your muscles and
the storing of energy.
5. Eating what you want.
Eating healthy and exercising doesn’t give you an
all access pass to eat anything you want. Everyone
needs the same nutrients whether they exercise or
not, as well as fruits and vegetables.
6. Not enough calories
Although losing weight involves calories, losing
it too quickly is never safe. What you should do,
is aim for 1 – 2 pounds a week. Always make sure
that you are getting enough calories to keep your
body operating smoothly. If you start dropping
weight too fast, eat a bit more food.
7. Skip soda and alcohol.
Water, milk, and juice is the best to drink for
active people. You should drink often, and not
require on thirst to be an indicator. By the time
you get thirsty, your body is already running a
bit too low.
Changing how you eat is always a great step
towards healthy eating and it will affect how your
body performs. The healthier you eat, you better
you’ll feel. No matter how old you may be, healthy
eating is something you should strive for. Once
you give it a chance, you’ll see in no time at
all just how much it can change your life – for the
better.

Being a healthy eater requires you to become both educated and smart about what healthy eating
actually is.  Being food smart is about learning to read the label to see how much fat you are putting into your body.
Studying labels and counting calories are for the seasoned veterans, we are just getting started and will keep it simple.

Healthy eating is all about balanced and moderate eating, consisting healthy meals at least three times per day.  Healthy eaters eat many different types of foods, not limiting themselves to one specific food type or food group.

Eating healthy requires quite a bit of leeway.  You might eat too much or not enough, consume foods that are sometimes more or less nutritious.
However, you should always fuel your body and your brain regularly with enough food to keep both your mind and body strong and alert.

A healthy eater is a good problem solver.  Healthy eaters have learned to take care of themselves.
Healthy eaters are always aware of what they eat, and know the effect that it
will have on their bodies.

When someone is unable to take control of their eating, they are also likely to get out of control with other aspects of life as well.

You should always remember that restricting food in any way is always a bad thing.  Healthy eating is a way of life, something that you can do to
take care of your body.

If you are thinking about making your life better, healthy eating is just the place to start.  You’ll make life easier for yourself, those around you.

Are you concerned about your health? Does your family’s health history worry you? Are you one of the 75 million Americans taking vitamins and nutritional supplements If you are, I have only one question left to ask you.
Are you ready to enter the next generation in health and wellness?
If you have a mailing address you probably receive plenty of junk mail trying to sell you vitamins and nutritional supplements. That they claim can prevent and some even cure every health problem under the sun. They send these advertisements to millions of people every day.

The One Size Fits All theory

They claim to have one product that that will cure everything. The one size fits all theory! One size does not fit all. it is not possible to make a quality nutritional supplement product that is right for everyone. Each and every one of us is uniquely different and our DNA proves that.
Why Take Vitamins?

Many of us take vitamins and every day in hopes of staying healthy or feeling more energetic. We don’t expect vitamins and nutritional supplements to cure any disease or illness. We go to our doctors for that. What we do want is to prevent disease and illness whenever we can.
The Problem
The problem we don’t know what vitamins and supplements to take. What does your body need? And how much of it should you be taking? Do you have a cabinet full of vitamins a supplements that you have tried with no noticeable results so you stopped taking them. They just pile up until the date expires or you throw them away. We try not to think of the money we wasted, just because we didn’t know if they were doing any good or perhaps harm.
The Solution:
Finally there is a test that everyone can take in the privacy of your own home. You mail it away and get a detailed assessment of what nutritional supplements your body needs.
There is a well established publicly traded company that has been doing research for over fourteen years developing a breakthrough in what is called nutrigenomics (which is the science of nutrition and DNA)
Assess don’t Guess

This is the cutting edge of nutrition but is simple to understand. This company has delivered a simple DNA assessment and system that makes it possible for them to create a genetically customized nutritional supplement base on your assessment.
To date there are over 177 thousand combinations of ingredients and they are able to make your one of a kind product. The days of one size fits all are over. You now can get a customized supplement made just for you, with the exact amount of each ingredient. No more guessing, no more wondering if you are taking something your body needs, and no more wasting money on vitamins you don’t need.

FDA Reviewed

They offer the only patented, FDA reviewed, non-invasive, self-administered DNA collection system available
DNA collection kits are bar coded and scanned for security and tracked throughout the process for quality control reporting.
All DNA samples are destroyed after genotyping. We are dedicated to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of all consumer information.
No information is shared. Period.
Test

Once your test is analyzed, you get back your report – clearly showing you where you need minimal support, added support and maximum support. Your custom formula is then blended accordingly.
Skin Care

Your Skin Health Assessment evaluates variations in key skin aging genes that influence your predispositions for oxidative damage, environmental stresses, irritation, collagen breakdown and photo-aging. Within weeks of your simple 5-minute cheek swab, you’ll receive your color-coded results with a complete explanation of both the genetic variations and the active ingredients that make up your custom blended health and/or skin formula. Your personal formula is completely customized and “made exclusively” just for you.
If you are ready to take the guess work out of taking vitamin supplements, and enter the next generation in wellness.    l

I urge you to do some research. I will provide you with a link to get you started.
