Healthy eating is important for students. In this article we are going to discus how to avoid become a fast food fatty. Late night pizza, burger, fries and soda may taste good at times, but they are not healthy choices.

If staying awake in class is a challenge it may be your eating habits.

The food choices you make can affect whether or not you stay awake during a class, and you’re overall health.

The problem is not only about eating junk food, it’s more about not getting the proteins, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals your body needs.

Before a class or any physical activity always eat a light snack, a piece of fruit is a good choice.

If you hear a rumbling noise in your stomach, that’s your body trying to tell you something. Don’t ask your body to perform when there is no fuel in the tank.

Relying on energy bars and so called power drinks are fine once in awhile, but they don’t deliver all the antioxidants your body needs.

When it comes to defending against illness, vitamin and minerals are very important and it is best for students to get their nutrition from food. Fruits and vegetables are best as they a loaded with vitamins, minerals, fluid and fiber.

Skipping breakfast is never a good idea, it may take some discipline but getting up a little early to give yourself time to eat healthy in the cafeteria will provide your body the fuel it needs to perform all day.

Eating on campus, skip the soda and go to the juice bar, or low fat milk. Check out the different entrees and make certain to include a fresh salad and some vegetables. In the morning there are always healthy cereals and plenty of fresh fruit. Take a piece of fresh fruit for a snack later so you are not tempted to buy a candy bar when that in between meal hunger hits.

Remember that eating healthy isn’t only about avoiding greasy foods. Eating healthy involves getting a balanced diet and getting the right nutrients and vitamins to keep your body strong and healthy

Changing how you eat is always a great step towards becoming a health eater. The healthier you eat the better you will feel, the better you feel the better you will perform.
